The Luxe Essentials did not begin with a business plan. It began with a personal journey โ€” a growing frustration with products that promised results but consistently under-delivered, and a deepening curiosity about the traditional ingredients that had been used across West Africa and Central America for generations without any marketing behind them at all.

The question was simple: if these ingredients have been trusted for centuries, why are they so difficult to find in their true, unadulterated form in the UK? The answer, it turned out, was that the mainstream beauty industry had little incentive to offer them that way. Raw ingredients don't carry the margins of heavily processed formulations. They require more careful sourcing. They don't behave like the standardised inputs that large-scale cosmetics production depends on.

"I wanted to create a brand where luxury and nature were the same thing โ€” not opposites."

Rachael โ€”
United Kingdom

Rachael founded The Luxe Essentials in August 2024 in the United Kingdom. What started as a personal search for honest, effective natural products became a brand that has now delivered over 15,000 orders across TikTok Shop, Amazon, and theluxeessentials.com.

Before launching, Rachael spent months researching traditional ingredients โ€” travelling back to source, understanding how they were made, and testing them rigorously. The goal was never to build the biggest beauty brand. It was to build the most honest one.

The Luxe Essentials is independently owned, UK-based, and built entirely from the ground up. Every product in the range has been personally formulated, tested, and approved by Rachael before it reaches a customer.

What the brand stands for

The Luxe Essentials is built on three principles that show up in every product decision, every sourcing choice, and every piece of content the brand produces.

01
Honest ingredients
Every product in the range is exactly what it says it is. No fillers, no unnecessary additives, no refined substitutes passed off as the real thing. If the label says raw unrefined Shea Butter from Ghana โ€” that is what is in the jar.
02
Traceable sourcing
Batana Oil is sourced directly from Honduras. Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, and African Black Soap come from Ghana. The origin of every ingredient is known, documented, and something the brand is proud to share.
03
Education first
Understanding what you're putting on your skin and hair is as important as the product itself. The Luxe Essentials invests in education โ€” ingredient guides, ritual guides, and honest content โ€” because informed customers make better decisions.

The origin of Batana Oil

Batana Oil is extracted from the nut of the American oil palm, native to the rainforests of Honduras. The Miskito people have used it for generations โ€” calling it the Oil of Life. We source directly, ensuring authenticity and supporting the communities that have produced it for centuries.

The home of our African ingredients

Ghana is the source of our Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, and African Black Soap. Each ingredient is sourced raw and unrefined, supporting the women-led cooperatives and traditional producers who have made them this way for generations.

โœฆ

The Luxe Essentials is still growing. The product range continues to expand thoughtfully โ€” each new addition held to the same standard as the first. The brand is independently owned, and that independence matters. It means no pressure to compromise on sourcing, no incentive to cut corners, and no outside agenda shaping what goes into the products.

If you have been a customer from the early days โ€” thank you. If you are discovering the brand for the first time โ€” welcome. Everything you need to understand what we make, why we make it, and how to use it is here.
